The Port LaBelle Community Development District (District) is a multi-jurisdictional independent special district (Florida Statute §189.012(3)) located in Glades County and Hendry County. The District is governed by a five-member Board of Supervisors that serve a four-year term of office and are elected by residents in the November General Election on even years. Seats 1, 3, and 5 are elected within the same year; Seats 2 and 4 are elected in the same year. The election cycle of Supervisors alternates every two years. Should a Supervisor resign before the end of their term, the Board of Supervisors may appoint a replacement until the November election of the term of the Seat expiration. In order to serve as a Supervisor, an individual must reside in the District.
District members and staff adhere to the Code of Ethics applicable to all public officers and employees under the Code of Ethics as identified in Part III, Chapter 112, of the Florida Statutes FS 112, Part III, Code of Ethics, 2015
